The idea of this release popped up after the two bands toured together in support of their first album in the fall of 2006 and eventually became good friends. Yet some time did pass before everyone could actually focus on writing new material and fix recording session agendas to make the whole thing happen.

THE DAWN wanted the new songs to sound even more personal and intricate, so they worked hard to bring in some extended musical skills so that to develop more complex structures and rhythms, still willing to take things a step further than before.

The recording of "Hyper square / Juicy fur" was engineered by good friend Colin Trognée at the band's rehearsal studio.
"Angels stroke horns" was born a couple of days later after some short jamming sessions. The song was then engineered by Sébastien Blanc who also shot and directed the band's 1st video for that same track, currently available on Youtube.

The LP version was co-released by Prototype / Trendkill records.
